3/17/2026

As required by Executive Order 12866 governing the regulatory review process, OGE submitted the draft Interim Final Rulemaking to the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) for clearance. Consultation with DOJ is running concurrently with the OMB Review Stage.

EIGA Review Stage: Consultation with DOJ and OPM
3/3/2026

Consultation with OPM completed. OGE submitted draft to DOJ.

1/8/2026

As required by the Ethics in Government Act (EIGA), OGE submitted draft interim final rule to Office of Personnel Management (OPM) for consultation. Consultation with DOJ and OPM is a requirement for all OGE's pending proposed rules pertaining to conflicts of interest and ethics in the executive branch.
