FOIA Contacts at OGE

OGE understands that public access to government information is essential to building trust in government. OGE works to maintain an effective Freedom of Information Act program.

OGE FOIA Contact Information and FOIA Designations

The U.S. Office of Government Ethics (OGE) has designated Diana J. Veilleux as its Chief Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) Officer with overall responsibilities under Executive Order 13392 of December 14, 2005 on Improving Agency Disclosure of Information. OGE has also established a FOIA Requester Service Center at Telephone Number, 202-482-9300 (TTY 800-877-8339), usoge@oge.gov, to answer any questions FOIA requesters have about the status of the processing of their requests. FOIA requesters may also check the status of their FOIA requests online.

In addition, OGE has designated Associate Counsel Jennifer Matis (jmatis@oge.gov) as the OGE FOIA Officer and OGE FOIA Public Liaison. FOIA requests should be addressed to Ms. Matis. As OGE FOIA Public Liaison, she can answer any concerns about OGE's FOIA Requester Service Center and is available to assist in reducing delays, resolving disputes, increasing transparency, and understanding of the status of requests.

FOIA Referrals

Agency FOIA officials wishing to refer records to OGE for processing should follow these procedures:

  • Records that do not contain Personally Identifiable Information (PII) or other sensitive information ONLY may be sent to usoge@oge.gov with the subject line "FOIA Referral."
  • Before sending any records that contain, or may contain, PII or other sensitive information, please contact the FOIA Officer at the above number. We will arrange for a secure way for you to transmit the records to OGE.
