Seeking and Negotiating for Employment: Subpart F, 18 U.S.C. 208, and STOCK Act Overview

Part 1

Part 2

In order to provide the best possible advice to those seeking non-federal government employment, ethics officials must be fluent in the laws and regulations governing seeking and negotiating for employment outside of government. This two-part course, which was held in preparation of a Presidential transition when many do exit government, focuses on advising employees on Subpart F of the Standards of Ethical Conduct for Employees of the Executive Branch (Standards of Conduct) and on 18 U.S. Code (U.S.C.) 208 dealing with seeking and negotiating for employment. The instructors also cover STOCK Act notification requirements for public filers, and they provide practice exercises for ethics officials to check their knowledge and respond to questions submitted by ethics officials at the time of recording.
