Ethics Fundamentals Series: An Introduction to Fundraising

Through official avenues such as the Combined Federal Campaign (CFC) or through personal initiatives, Federal employees engage in fundraising activities and other solicitations both on and off the job. Depending upon the nature of the solicitation or collection, where it takes place, whether it targets Federal employees, and whether it is undertaken in an official or personal capacity, different authorities will apply.

In this 60 minute distance learning event, ethics officials new to the fundraising regulations will be introduced to the definition of fundraising, the prohibitions on fundraising in Subpart H of the Standards of Conduct, and the distinctions between fundraising and other charitable solicitations and collections.

This session is designed as an orientation to the regulations pertaining to fundraising.
