OGE Proposes to Revise the Provisions of 5 CFR Part 2634 Governing “Executive Branch Financial Disclosure, Qualified Trusts, and Certificates of Divestiture”

October 5, 2016

OGE has published a proposed rule to update the financial disclosure regulation.  The proposed amendments would implement the additional transaction and mortgage reporting requirements that Congress imposed in 2012 in the Stop Trading on Congressional Knowledge Act (STOCK Act).  In addition, OGE is proposing changes that would improve consistency between various government ethics regulations and the Ethics in Government Act.  The public has until December 5, 2016, to comment. The proposed rule is available here: https://www.gpo.gov/fdsys/pkg/FR-2016-10-05/pdf/2016-22958.pdf.
