The U.S. Office of Government Ethics (OGE) is submitting an existing information collection, entitled OGE Form 201 Request an Individual’s Ethics Documents, to the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) for its review and approval of a three-year extension in accordance with the Paperwork Reduction Act.
The form allows members of the public to request Public Financial Disclosure Reports, Periodic Transaction Reports and other records from OGE and each of the executive branch agencies.
OGE invites input from the public on the form and proposed changes to the form, which OGE believes will increase clarity, improve user experience, and/or reduce the burden on requesters utilizing the form.
Specifically, OGE would like to know:
1. What problems do you experience using the form?
2. Are there sections of the form or instructions that are unclear?
3. Is there information provided that is confusing?
4. What additional information would be helpful?
You can read about OGE’s proposed changes in its Federal Register notice and view the proposed PDF version of the form here.
