Advising Employees Who Would Like to Write a Book and Get Paid for It

 

Agency ethics officials are often presented with questions about whether a Government employee may accept compensation for outside teaching, speaking, or writing during Government service. To assist agency ethics officials with these questions, this session will review the purpose of section 2635.807 and provide guidance on how best to evaluate the issues involved when employees want to know whether they can get paid for outside teaching, speaking, or writing.
