OGE Issues New Regulation on Guidance Documents

August 24, 2020

On August 20, 2020, OGE issued new regulations detailing the processes for issuing, modifying, and petitioning OGE regarding its guidance documents. These regulations at 5 C.F.R. part 2611 are required by Executive Order 13891. OGE made conforming revisions to 5 C.F.R. § 2638.208 to reduce confusion with the new regulation.

OGE has also launched a new guidance portal on its website where all current guidance documents can be accessed: www.oge.gov/guidance

The Federal Register issuance establishing the new regulation can be found here. The full text of the new regulation is available here.
