OGE Issues a New Program Review Report: U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs

September 22, 2014

On September 18, 2014, OGE issued a report of its program review of the ethics program of the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. The report highlights model practices OGE identified during its review and includes recommendations addressing areas of VA's ethics program that need to be strengthened. The report is available under the Program Management tab in the Program Review Reports section.

The objective of OGE's program reviews is primarily to identify and report on the strengths and weaknesses of the ethics programs of agencies in the federal executive branch. OGE's program review teams evaluate agency compliance with ethics requirements set forth in relevant laws, regulations, Executive Orders, and government-wide policies. These teams also evaluate agencies' processes and procedures for administering their ethics programs.
