The U.S. Department of the Interior (DOI) is hosting a panel discussion on strengthening the ethics community, “You Don’t Have to Go It Alone: Growing Our Ethics Community,” on Wednesday, September 16 at 3:30 p.m. ET. Immediately following the session, at 4:45 p.m. ET, OGE will facilitate a Flash Networking Event for in-person attendees to meet peers quickly, swap ideas, and identify go‑to contacts for common ethics challenges.

The panel will discuss how ethics officials can strengthen their work through connection and collaboration. In the Executive Branch, ethics practice is most effective when supported by shared learning, peer networks, mentoring, training, and cross-agency engagement. OGE and the Interagency Ethics Council provide key forums for community-building, offering resources, training, and regular opportunities to exchange insights. Ethics officials will be encouraged to build meaningful relationships and contribute to a strong, cohesive ethics community.
