Confidential Financial Disclosure: The Critical Roles of Supervisors and Other Reviewers of Financial Disclosure Reports

In this 20 minute distance learning event the U.S. Office of Government Ethics will provide supervisors and others who review confidential financial disclosure reports (OGE forms 450) with guidance on identifying and preventing potential conflicts of interest.

We will answer several common questions such as:

What is the purpose of financial disclosure?

Why are supervisors asked to participate in the review?

What are conflicts of interest and why do they matter?

What should a reviewer do if (s)he finds a potential conflict?

When should reviewers certify reports as conflict-free?

This session was presented live on February 14, 2019.
