UN Report Cites OGE’s Communication Practices as Model Practices

November 26, 2014

A recent UN report cited the launch of OGE's Twitter account and publication of agency ethics program review reports as model practices for reporting and raising awareness (see paragraphs 52 and 89). The report was compiled by the Intergovernmental Working Group on Prevention, which develops knowledge and shares model practices regarding the implementation of the United Nations Convention against Corruption. Prior to its annual meetings, the Working Group collects and compiles information from States Parties regarding policies, practices and legislation related to specific provisions of the Convention. Past topics have included issues relevant to OGE's mission, such as codes of conduct (Article 8 of the Convention), conflicts of interest (Article 7), and financial disclosure (Article 8).
